    Child Support Jurisdiction
My question involves child support in the State of: New York.
I am living in Missouri my ex wife is living in New york I have never lived in New york She is now seeking child support from me through the New york Court. the fact that I did not live in New York does the New York Court have Jurisdiction Over me or would the courts here in Missouri have that Jurisdiction ?? I just moved from Jamaica to Missouri in April of this year..

Even if NY doesn't have jurisdiction, they can facilitate a child support order via Missouri. The NY child support agency would work with the MO child support agency to make a child support order happen. That is a simplistic explanation but the bottom line is that you are not going to avoid child support over jurisdiction. Both states will work together to make it happen.
