Whether to Adopt or Execute a False Affidavit of Parentage
My question involves adoption law for the State of: Louisiana

My exboyfriend is the bio father of my 11 month old son, and I will be getting married next year. My son's father has not signed the birth certificate, nor the acknowledgement of the paternity. Can fiancee just add his name to the birth certificate, or does a formal adoption have to take place?

Nobody here is going to tell you to execute a false affidavit.

    You would be committing fraud.

What's going to happen if you and your fiance break up?

Have you bothered to file for paternity yourself?
