    DHS Cannot Verify Immigration Documents
    Hello,

Here is my situation, on my passport I don’t have a last name:

    Passport:

    Given Name: XXXX YYYYY
    Last Name/Surname: blank

I entered united states on H4 Visa and my H4 and I94 has my last and first split which is not same as my passport.

H4 Visa/I94 (cbp issued I94 when entered US on H4):

    Given Name: XXXX
    Last Name/Surname: YYYYY

Back in US I got my status changed from H4 to H1B, I have a valid work Auth (H1B) starting 1st Oct 2013 but my name on passport and I797/94 is reversed because of no last name on passport :

    Passport:

    Given Name: XXXX YYYYY
    Last Name/Surname: blank

I797/I94 (Issued by USCIS, attached with I797)

    Given Name: No Name Given
    Last Name/Family Name: XXXX YYYYY

When I applied to social security card I was told by officer that this might take longer than expected because of the reversed name and will go to DHS.

After 2 weeks I get a letter saying we cannot issue you a social security card at this time because:

The Department of Homeland Security is unable to verify the immigration document you submitted as evidence of your lawful alien Status. You should contact that agency to clarify your current immigration status.

My question is will there be two I94 entries one with
    Given Name: XXXX
    Last Name/Surname: YYYYY
(Issued when I entered US on H4)

    And another with
    Given Name: No Name Given
    Last Name/Family Name: XXXX YYYYY
(Issued with my change of status)

And this might be causing the issue or they cannot have two active I94 entries for the same passport.

I am not sure what could the problem is, any help would be really appreciated.

Re: DHS Cannot Verify Immigration Documents
The problem is you never bothered to have the errors corrected and want to hard issued on your say so. You need to have the errors corrected and resubmit the documents.
