    Um................ serious.

Let me give you an example of a similar activity that is currently employed:

Kid stands on the street corner. Buyers come buy looking for dope. Guy on the corner asks what you want. You say $20 of crack. He accepts your money and tells you to go to room 332 in the building you are standing in front of, knock on the door 3 times in rapid succession, pause, 3 times in rapid succession, pause, then 3 more knocks in rapid succession. With each series of knocks say the name; Penny

when the pass door is openend (a small door within the door used to pass drugs out to buyers but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about), tell the guy: Pedro said to give you a double.

You are handed a $20 rock and you disappear to go smoke your crack.

So, who broke the law in that scenario? You, the guy on the corner, and the guy handing you the drugs. No different than what you are doing except you remove the guy behind the door which makes it even easier to prosecute you. If you think the law is fooled by the "but all I did was sell them a map" ruse, then it's time to stop doing drugs yourself because they have fried your mind.

Hmmm, cops are smarter than I thought.

This business plan is fatally flawed for non-legal reasons. The consumers of illegal drugs have no trouble finding them as it is. The money they would spend on a map would buy them more crack/meth/heroin/weed.

Yeah but I'm now ass-uming the intent is to sell a location to drugs, sold with a wink, in lieu of the drugs themselves. Consider it a treasure map so that OP's friend (aka the dealer) distances himself from the actual exchange. If that's what he means it's still a bad idea OP.

Might make a good reality series though, ;) on the lines of The Amazing Race ... or Sea Hunt :)
