What to Do If You're Served With a Summons for an Eviction Case
My question involves an eviction in the state of: CA
I was given a summons today and the reason stated was that I gave a tentative move notice to move by 10/15 but I was unable to move now I don't know what to do.
    What is the process?
can they change my locks and not let me in the apartment?
if so when can they do this?
any other info would be very helpful thank you in advance for your time

Re: Was Given a Eviction (Summons) Today and Don't Know What to Do
Did you actually inform the landlord that you were no longer moving?

The process is that there will be a court date, and the end result will very likely be that you're given X amount of time to move. If you don't, the sheriff can have you forcibly removed.

Before the court decision though the landlord cannot change the locks or bar you from entry or living in the apartment.
