    Shoplifting charges against minors
    Iowa -

2 minors caught shoplifting together, video footage from two previous visits where they stole from the same store. banned from store and from mall. police called, parents informed, waiting for court date (nobody has contacted, it has been 4 days)...

what is the most likely punishment? WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!?!?

Question: how do they have footage from before and know? did they tell you this? what happened exactly.

ya they told us they had video from september and october, although they wouldnt show it to us, and they wouldnt show us the pictures they had even tho we asked. Each time there were other ppl with us, who werent with us this most recent time, so they werent caught. without cameras in the dressing rooms i can see no way they would know who took the merch -- it couldve been the other ppl, not us.

well within 5-15 days or so theyll send you a civil demand. which is what you took plus a fine for themselves. depending on how busy the courts are, or if the store decides to press charges, which they probably will cause youve taken before. i have no idea what theyre going to do about what you took before. what store was this? please be more specific. and im really sorry about what happened to you but i hope you learned your lesson.

Yeah, i don't understand how they'd figure it out either. It's really strange.

oh, ive learned my lesson alright.

um, it was von maur. i was sortof wondering if there was a statute of limitations that applies, since it was back in sept that they have the first tape. and about the other girls that were with us, how can they prove that it was us two that took all that stuff? they laid out like a thousand tags in front of us, the entire spectrum of sizes, it is basically impossible for two girls to cover ALL sizes. it wasnt just us.

ok, but then how would they decide what we took as oppossed to what the other girls that were with us took?

Get ready for whatever might happen next - you should find out more in a consultation with a criminal defense attorney in your area. If the police were called, it's definitely serious.

Making fitting rooms stops is very normal and they can use CCTV but NOT in fitting room. It simple sunbject (you) goes into fitting room with three blue dresses. Subject leaves with one, replaces it. Second LP is near fittign room and knows which stall your in. This second person checks stall for clothing and finds none. You (subject) are carrying a bag etc that could fit the dresses in bingo you have them!
