Involved in an Accident After Crossing a Double Yellow Line

My question involves a traffic accident in the State of: ohio
im silver tibby she is black ford
today i was on my way to the bank and i took a way i norm. dont go. as i was on my way to the bank there was a white poniatc gt infront of me and up aheasd there was a 02 black ford focus up ahead stoped in the middle of the double lines (its a single road) with caution lights blinking. i approch the ford foucs the whit poniatc goes to the right to avoid hitting the car (ford focus) i go to the left to also avoid hitting the ford focus. now at this time i would like to sate there is a dairy queens right next to meas i pass the ford so i tech. never went over the double lines and also it was bought to my attention by the officer that there are double lines. you honestly can not tell there are double yellow lines the road is old and beat up theres barly any lines at all. now as you go further down the road yes you can tell but wheee the accednt to place you can not.no as i proceed to pass her she decieds to turn as if she is turning into dairy queen resuliting in hitting me on my left passanger side. and i go spining all the way to the right side of the road up onto the curb . 5 more sec and i would have passed her so idk how she couldnt see me coming if she was paying attention before she made the turn. also as i was appoching her it looked as if she was talking to someone on the side walk. so am i at fault is the city atfualt for poor up keep on roads or is the other person at fault why or why not thank you in advice for any answer. add. info i will be fighting this in court so i do not lose my Ls im 17 and will be 18 in feb and have 1 ticket for my breaks falling on me and hitting another car (rear ending) and one for barly missing a yellow light. i would love advice on how to handel this https://www.dropbox.com/lightbox/home/Camera%20Uploads https://www.dropbox.com/lightbox/home/Camera%20Uploadshttps://www.dropbox.com/lightbox/home/Camera%20Uploadshttps://www.dropbox.com/lightbox/home/Camera%20Uploads

so, how were you passing the car if you had not crossed the center line? That would mean you were attempting to pass the car while both of you were in the same lane. That makes it your fault even if there were no double yellow lines on the road.

im saying physaclly there were no lanes there was an opening to turn into DQ so it was as if i ws turning into DQ they were in both the right lane and the left lane

so, were you across the center line or not? If you were, did the other person use their turn signal? If so, how far before the turn did they first turn it on?

If you want to argue the lines were not visible, very recent pictures of the exact location of the accident to show the court that the lines were not visible would be a good idea.

it was as if i was turning into DQ. and no they had there cation lights on. idk for what.

check out the street veiw by DQ this is a older pic bc the road looks a lot worse. but this is where it took place and i was paralle to where you turn into DQ

who had their flashers on? what car hit you? I was under the impression it was the Pontiac.

when I go to the street view, the yellow lines are quite obvious.

Ok so the white Pontiac is gone it passed and went on with its day. The black ford hit me as I was turning towards dairy queen (it was in front of me taking up both the right and left lane with its emergency "flashers" on) and yes it is at that time and date but now only one is sorta visible and you have to know what your really looking for the other is not .

so, the escort was simply stopped in the roadway having not moved since you had first observed it.




and if you are suggesting you drove down the wrong side of the roadway as you attempted to go around he escort, that is illegal.

Um, wait until you are at the entrance and then turn roughly a 90 degree turn into the drive. You are not allowed to leisurely cross the road and drive down the wrong side of the road.

just to be clear, I am speaking of actually driving on the wrong side of the road and not the specific act of CROSSING the other lane to enter a drive. The first is illegal, the second is not.
