Employee Ran Away After Getting Caught Stealing at Work
My question involves criminal law for the state of: indiana
My cousin worked at walmart for a year and a half and they pulled her in the managers office today to let her know that they had seen her on camera letting groceries go out the door without being paid for and also accused her of taking a 50.00 phone card from the register. although they did not see her take anything out the door herself, however after terminating her they informed her that the police had been called and when they let her walk to get something out of her car she jumped in it and took off. what charges will she be looking at?
Re: Ran from Ap Personnel Where Cousin Worked
Until the she is arrested, she will get to keep guessing. They will be based on the evidence and companies desire to see her cuffed and stuffed.
Re: Ran from Ap Personnel Where Cousin Worked
Why did she jump in her car and take off?
What was the "something" she was getting out of her car?
Last...she will want a lawyer, she will want to 100% honest with the lawyer (did she or did she not steal from the store), and she want to turn herself into the police with her lawyer present. Otherwise, there is a good chance of a knock on the door, handcuffs, and placed in the back of a police car.

she didn't want to go to jail and she went to get her breathing meds out of her truck she has copd.
Re: Ran from Ap Personnel Where Cousin Worked
Taking off was not a good decision.
Again, she needs a lawyer. She should be leaving messages on every Criminal Defense Lawyers answering machines/etc tonight.
If the cops come before she has a lawyer, tell her the only words should be "I want my lawyer present" and that is it.
