How Likely Are You to Get Caught

I'm not proud of what i have done, in fact i'm really scared everyday. I have stolen 2 or 3 things from 3 different stores each and it's been about a month since I have stolen anything because I know what I did was wrong. I was wondering if it's likely that I still get caught, and if so, how long can it take for you to get caught when you steal something? Before anyone says anything, I know what I did was bad. Please don't tell me about how bad I am of a person, because I feel it. I just need clarification for myself.

They can charge you until the statute of limitations runs out. We can't tell you when that will be because you ignored the rule to name your state.

How much info can they gather on you? They likely have you on store video and your car on lot video. Did you use a credit card? All these things can factor into an answer.
