    Can I Move Out at 17 in Louisiana
    My question involves juvenile law in the State of: louisiana. So my dad treats me bad make me baby sit even when he home. Im always getting hit upside my head for no reason. The other day he slammed me into almost every wall in the house. I am 17 and i want to know can i move out without the people i move with going to jail. My dad always tell me that if i move out or run away the people i move with will go to jail. I just dont want to live here any more my step dad mother just past thursday and she and i were every close as far as i knew that was my grandma. He know ive been crying and still doesnt care my mother live in texas can i go move with her?

    If you're being abused, you need to tell your school counselor and/or call the police and/or contact child services.

    Legally, Dad actually has a valid point - whoever is letting you stay with them if you run away can end up in a lot of trouble.
