Possession of Cyclobenzaprine
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida.

I looked up the retail names of this drug and none of them are on the controlled substance act. It even says on a few websites that the drug Cyclobenzaprine is not a controlled substance. Was I charged under the wrong statute?
I was charged with 893.13, which is a felony. I was in possession of one pill with no prescription.
Thanks in advanced for any information.
Re: Possession of Cyclobenzaprine
Flexeril... My initial reaction is, "Who would illegally possess Flexeril", because I personally get more relief from Tylenol.
Florida has a general statute, Sec. 499.03, which allows prosecution for possession of any prescription medication not obtained through a valid prescription, so they can still 'get you' for something.
Sec. 893.13 refers to Florida's own drug schedules, Sec. 893.03, which does not appear to have been amended since 2003. I don't see any reference that would cover Flexeril. Flexeril is referenced in this document, a 2011 disciplinary report for a nurse, which notes, "Flexeril is a muscle relaxant that contains cyclobenzaprine. Flexeril is not currently a schedule defined drug under Chapter 893, Florida Statutes".
