    Filing Chapter 7 After Conclusion of Chapter 13
    filed chapter 13 about 5 yrs ago paid it for about 2yrs it was comming out of my ex paycheck when we divorced he quit his job so he wouldnt have to pay for it now i need to file chapter seven so i can keep my wages being garnish i dont make much and could not take up the payments from chapter 13 i had custody of the kids and was awarded child support but he never paid can i file chapter seven being the 13 wasnt paid out.plus im dont want to loose my place its doublewide still owe on it only place i have for me and my kids to live been scared to file of fear of loosing it

    So you filed a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, failed to make your payments, and dropped out. Now you're interested in filing Chapter 7? If it's been three years since you dropped out of Chapter 13, you may qualify. I have no way of knowing whether you would otherwise qualify, though, based on your income. You should be able to get a free consultation from a bankruptcy lawyer, who can clarify the waiting period and determine whether you qualify for Chapter 7 discharge.
