What's the Penalty for Breaking and Entering and Theft

My question involves criminal law for the state of: North Carolina
17-yr old caught on tape stealing form the City Park canteen. Some younger children were also involved. 17 yr old is a good student, no priors, voluntarily worked with investigation & returned remaining merchandise. Can you give me an idea what he's looking at as far as sentencing? Any advice?
