What Defenses to Use for Small Claim Credit Debt
city/state: clear lake, IA
Credit debt is 2 years old, $2,600 and plaintiff is an attorney law firm not debt buyer.
I denied the claim on the answer form because I do not agree with the amount I have to pay. So what else can I say as a defendant besides saying on court hearing date that I want "complete set monthly account statements?"
Also note, the law firm are suing on behalf of the original creditor and are not the ones who own the debt.

Ideally you're meant to do that BEFORE the hearing.

Well I forgot to mention that on the answer form, but I will say that on small claim trial. So is it legal and okay to say it?
