    Notary Not Present During Signing
My question involves a professional license in the state of: Hawaii

My wife and I had signed up for a timeshare a few years ago (regretfully). During the signing of the documents we signed a document that was then taken to another room where the notary notarized it. How bad is that? Does that void the contract at all? Can the notary's license be revoked?

the notary could get in trouble, however it probably does not impact the validity of your contract

Judges have the authority to decide if your wife signed the document or not.

Don't worry about the notary. And no, it will have no effect on the notarization either IMO.

The document does not have to be notarized to have it be legally binding.

If your wife signed it I would not recommend lying about it or making an issue of it.

A contact is a civil matter; perjury is criminal.
