Does a Warrant for Violating Parole Follow You to Other States
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California/Massachussets
If I skipped parole in CA for a non-violent crime that was only reduced to an epo violation and resulted in unsupervised probation, but missed a court appointment to check in because I moved out of state, and now have a bench warrent, can I be arrested in MA? Also, would I be able to travel out of the US and get back in with no problems since I have double citizenship in both countries or would there be a red flag on my name when my passport is checked with tsa? Need help! Thank you :)

Which is it ... are you on PAROLE? Or, are you on PROBATION? There IS a difference.
If there is a warrant for your arrest, yes you could possibly be arrested in MA and shipped back to XCA. And, yes, it can have an effect on your ability to travel abroad as most countries do not allow wanted felons into their country.
Take care of your legal issues or remain a fugitive ... the warrant won't just disappear and having it can effect employment, loans, public assistance, welfare, and can cause many unwanted detentions and arrests even if CA is not going to extradite you.

Folks are arrested on out of state warrants and while re-entering the country every day. Lots of them.

Probation. I have dual citizenship in Ireland/US and need to get home to see my mother who is on her death bed which is why I left CA and just don't understand the laws out here. If I can't get back into the US because of the bench warrent and probation violation, then I will deal with that as long as I can see her before she passes. I don't know if they will let me fly out or if my passport will be flagged or something. It will kill me if I can't go see her, I'm talking asap.

Your probation officer won't authorize the travel?
Re: Does a Warrant for Violating Parole Follow You to Other States
Honestly, my mother was sick with cancer during the court process, and I left before even meeting with the probation officer. It was meant to be unsupervised prob. I was avoiding my pub def because I thought I could just leave to see my mam, and changed my number etc., but she relayed that bench warrent info through someone I know. In the moving process, I lost my passport, which is something I am also worried about, in case that is a red flag to get an emergency one... Should I go to the Irish embassy out here, call my pub def, or just attempt to get my emergency passport without addressing the legal stuff going on? It is non-violent and not even a bad crime that was commited, just racial profiling by the da and mixed with a very unstable person giving a report which is why the charges were dropped for the most part and the sentencing was so lenient. My mother could pass at any moment and I need to figure out how to get to her and not be apprehended, if that would even happen, I have no clue...

Wow ... had you just done what you were supposed to do, you wouldn't be in this situation. As it is, the odds are slim that you would be granted any leniency to travel.
Re: Does a Warrant for Violating Parole Follow You to Other States
The unstable person that put me in the situation to begin with was still trying to get me in trouble and in jail while in CA, so I would have ended up in jail regardless. I wish it didn't happen this way, and at the worst possible time with my family troubles... I just need to find a way to circumvent or find any kind of loophole or I have no idea what to do. I need to see my mother before she dies. My auntie told me today that it could be at any moment.
