Drove Straight from Left Only Lane Under Green Signal
    Hi,

I was charged for traffic infraction last month for going straight instead of taking left from left only lane under green signal.

I would like to know if I should contest for the case or request a plea of guilty as the ticket penalty is high and it would be glad if I can get the ticket points waived.

    Thanks & Regards,
    -Ravi Tej.

I forgot to mention that I was charged for the traffic infraction in Santa Cruz county CA.

What is there to contest? You admit committing the violation. The fine amount is approximately $238. You might see a slight reduction if you appear in court and plead guilty. To conceal the violation point you will have to take traffic school (if eligible) but that will cost you approximately $60 to the court and a small fee for the traffic school itself.
