Disorderly Persons Charge for Intoxicated Conduct
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan
I was at the bar, very intoxicated, I was getting pushed around and threatened by a group of unknown men.
Once 2am hit (last call) I went outside and was confronted by a member of the group of guys from the previous situation in the bar. I noticed a police officer sitting at the Stop sign observing the situation. Of course the guy that was confrontational with me, made a threat "your lucky that cops there or we'd be stomping your face in. I then got mad, simply wrapped my arm around him and used a common take down. I then walked down the road and waited for the police officer to catch up in her patrol car. I didn't resist, I was released on $100bond after 2hrs.
I recently got out off the U.S Army Military Police (permanent disability retirement after 3 years)
I'm a Criminal Justice Student with Straight A's 3.9GPA.
I'm married with a son.
No prior record of any kind.
What should I do, my arraignment is 5 days away. Thanks in Advance
Re: Disorderly Persons Charge
You're being accused of a crime. What you should do is consult with a criminal defense attorney, either before your arraignment, or, after pleading not guilty AT the arraignment.
