Statutory Rape Laws in Florida

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: California

A 19 year old boy had sex with my 17 year old girl. (Not rape but she deeply regrets it and I had no clue what was going on.

Can I have him arrested?

Google CA "age of consent laws". It looks to me like he would have to be three years old than her before it could be considered to be criminal in any way.

If it was not rape, and the age difference is only two years, I'd say counsel the girl and encourage her to make better choices in the future.

No you cannot have the man arrested. She was able to consent. regret for a stupid decision by a young woman does not equate to rape. And the fact that you want to blame this man and not her for her actions is deplorable.

That's not what people go to lawyers for. When you provide your personal opinion rather than the facts, you appear to think you're better than me, or anyone else. Stick to the facts rather than insulting people with how you think they should live their lives. I've got great advice from people on this site. I also received a lot of "Life advise" that is not necessary.

First of all, you don't know the entire story. You don't know that he's 19, has had sex with multiple underage girls who won't come forward. Including a 15 year old and 16 year old.
I can not do anything about those girls, but I can do something for my daughter.

So what is "deplorable" here is that you want to defend a looser who preys on young girls. But I didn't want to go into all the details in my first post, and I don't want to go into the rest of the details now. I shouldn't have to.

So your life advise falls short. I asked a simple question of people who are supposed to be knowledgeable about the law. You're really lowering the quality of this site.

I suggest you actually read what was written instead of twisting the words. I don't believe anyone was defending the male.

Actually, in CA any sex with a minor under 18 is a crime. It's a misdemeanor if there is less than three years between them; a felony if more.

However, it is also true that unless you live in a very law-abiding town and the DA and police have very little to do, they are less likely to take up the cause of consentual sex with an almost-legal adult with someone only two years older than they, than they would if it were one of the younger girls.
