Can Children Sue DCF for Termination of Parental Rights
My question involves adoption law for the State of: Florida. My biological parents are deceased but I do have contact with two of my biological siblings. I would like to know if there is a statue of limitation to hold dcf responsible for me and my sister never returning to our biological family?

What makes you think DCF had to return you to your biological legal strangers?

Who is to say that DCF did anything wrong. There is a reason why you were separated from your family. Unfortunately your parents are not around to explain themselves. My suggestion to you is to get some therapy to help you deal with the emotional issues brought about by these events, and then move on.

If your parents' rights were terminated it would either be because they consented to the termination of their rights, or because they went to trial and had a judge rule that their rights should be terminated. Either way, DCF isn't responsible for the outcome. Beyond that, they're going to enjoy broad civil immunity against any claims.
