Speeding Ticket in Liberty New York with a New Jersey License
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: NY
I got a speeding ticket from driving 27mph more than the limit (So, I drove 92 in a 65 limit highway). I currently have a New Jersey license and the officer that ticketed me said that we will receive the fine but it is likely we will not get points added to my license. Is this true? When I searched it up there were some people saying the points will be added and won't be added. If it does get added will the 6 points (from the 27mph speeding) get added straight to my NJ license or will it be translated into the NJ point system of 4 points to my license? Also, this is my first speeding ticket (or any sort of traffic ticket), thus, if I hire a lawyer could I find a way to waive the points being added or even reduce the point being added?
