What exactly is the meaning of that statement ?

Yes nothing was mentioned about any CA in the contract.

they do not have to mention anything in the contract.

what are you not understanding here? You entered into a contract. You breached the contract. They made efforts to collect on the contract. Part of that is they get to hire a company to do that for them or they could have sold the contract to another entity altogether. It makes no difference; you still owed what you promised you would pay.

a side issue is; it can be reported on your credit history where it will be reported for 7 years from the date of delinquency.[/QUOTE]

Thank you jk I would say that was the best answer in the thread. I understand all that. What I fail to understand is which kind of laws exist in this country for a outright lie.

So when you agreed to pay your tuition, and then later failed to pay your tuition....

Here's the thing: If it's just you and your friends claiming that somebody at the school told you that you didn't have to pay your tuition, the chance of anybody believing you hover near 0%. Schools don't stay open unless students pay their tuition, even if those students choose not to obtain degrees.

Who did you speak with at the school, and why did you believe this person would have any authority to waive the school's right to receive the money you promised, in writing, to pay?

We talked to Admission head of the school on the first day, The finance and loan lady of the school, the teachers all of them thruout 1 year told us nothing happens if we dont pay- they only do not give us out certificate, we get our certificate when we pay. Are these good people to talk to ?

why would the chance be 0% again ?

And why do you believe the school had any obligation to tell you in advance that you would be sent to collections if you didn't pay?

i do not what kind of way do you think but i have been taught to trust and i saw no reason not to trust the head of admission and head of finance of the school

it depends on where the lie is involved. In your situation, it means nothing.

IT DOES MEAN SOMETHING FOR ME..... and thats why i have thought of taking the following steps :

    a) going to the school and talk of the whole situation and what it has done.

    b) Report them to BBB

    c) Give utter bad reviews on Google ...because they would keep on doing this to future students ...its a illegal thing thing they r doing and needs to be stopped.

    d) based on what the owner of the school says ....seek more legal help.

It doesn't mean anything in any legal arena though and since you are asking about legal issues, I figured that is what you were concerned with.

you want to be really careful about stating they are doing anything illegal. You may find yourself on the as end of a defamation suit and since they would be worried about losing many many dollars, want to guess who they would want to compensate them? Go ahead, guess.

Thank you jk. The illegal is just my word. I would of course cut that word off while I am giving the review. But I would neutrally state the whole event over the net. It would be upto people decide whether they were wrong or I . R u saying I should not even do that ?
