Discharged a Firearm Within City Limits; Police Confiscated All My Firearms
My question involves criminal law for the state of: South Carolina (City of Mauldin)
Upon appearing in court for the second time (the judge forced me to pay for a psychological evaluation; which I passed of course) he asked if I had other firearms and I said yes. His response was, "well, there's nothing I can do about that." I then asked about the disposition of my other firearms and he said those were forfeited by my order to the city and you can't have them back. Please note that the firearms that they confiscated were in my office/studio disconnected from the house where they arrested me. They also (as witnessed by my son who saw the police cars and stood next door in the neighbors driveway) searched the entire premises and removed many items. After the items were removed, a search warrant was then obtained and presented.
What do I do here? The judge said if I could get an out of state relative to come he "may" consider releasing "some" of the firearms to them; if they swore under oath that they would not be returned to me. All the while, knowing that I still have firearms and am not prohibited from purchasing any legal firearms. Even one of the officers said, "there's nothing stopping you from buying more guns". But the point is, some of them hold sentimental value and that can't be replace; but much larger in my mind is this appears to be one major contradiction when considering what I've just relayed above.
I had a number of very nice firearms worth a great deal of money as well as ammunition and magazine that I believe they have their eye's on personally. That's speculation of course, but what's the legal recourse here? I'm tore up over it.
Thanks in advance.
I wanted to add that I was not charged with a fine either.

There is only one answer to your question.
Hire an attorney who specializes in firearms law.
You aren't getting your guns back without an attorney, that's for sure.

Were you arrested for a crime involving violence or firearms? If so, what offense were you charged with? (Statute, please)
Were you committed to a mental health facility involuntarily for any amount of time?
Is there a restraining order of any kind active against you?
