Speeding Ticket for 97 MPH on 65 MPH
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: CA
i was driving 97 in a 65 mile zone in the day time... it is also circled as infraction
Under Corrective violation marked as No with this number 22349 (a)
on the ticket it says that i have to appear in the court ( superior court ).....Can some body help me understand what i may have to take care in the court? what questions i will be asked? what fees i have to pay ? is there any way i can get way from this by taking some driving classes under guilty ?
Any information is appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Not sure what you mean by "help me understand what i may have to take care in the court"... I f you are asking why you have to appear in court, the way I understand it is simply because this is considered a serious violation, and although it is still an infraction, the judge might choose to admonish you about driving at such high speed. Also, and since the law gives the judge discretion to suspend your driver's license for up to 30 days as part of the penalty if you are convicted of the offense (see CVC 13200), this would be an opportunity for the judge to give you a warning about (again) the seriousness of the offense and any possible consequences and repercussions that might come along as part of a conviction in this case, and that way, nobody can come back later on complaining about how unfair they were treated while claiming they didn't know what the penalties are.
This does not mean your license will get suspended, it just means it can be. It does not mean the judge will admonish you or tell you anything different than any other defendant, it just means he can.
The fine amount for driving at 32 mph over the speed limit will be approximately $490. As for traffic school, having been cited for a speeding violation with your speed being over 25mph in excess of the limit, this means you are not automatically eligible for traffic school and cannot simply pay the fees and have your case set up for that option, instead, you have to request that the judge allow to attend traffic school to have this violation get concealed off you r record. Assuming you have not attended a traffic school course to have a ticket concealed off your record within the past 18 months prior to being cited for this offense and assuming the judge does allow you to do so then you can pay the additional traffic school fee and the clerk will provide you with a list of approved traffic schools and give you a due date by which you have to complete the program and have the certificate submitted to the court.

I never got any tickets since i was holding the license past almost two years. what kind of questions that i have to be prepared for?
what would be the worst case that can happen to me ? if judge didn't admonish me what else could happen? can i request i never did it before and will never do it again will regret for my entire life for what i have done? also if i request for the traffic school course to have a violation to concealed off record will he grant that easily? what are the documents that i need to take care of?

I would recommend OP not answer any questions if the OP wishes to plead not guilty.

Questions such as:
"How do you plead? Guilty or not guilty?"
And... "the fine is $XXX.XX can you pay that today or do you need an extension?"

You will be fined up to $490, your license will be suspended for 30 days and once that is over and done with, your life will go on.

Then you get spanked by the bailiff... You are asking silly pointless questions that no one here can answer for you.

You can request that but you'll still have to enter a plea and either go to trial or pay the fine.

You can request it but whether it is granted or not is up to the judge.

I don't see any requirement for any documents that have to be taken care of.

Questions such as:
"How do you plead? Guilty or not guilty?" Yes i am Guilty
And... "the fine is $XXX.XX can you pay that today or do you need an extension?"i can pay today but i may have to schedule to different date i am planning to go out of country is it possible to reschedule to different date
You will be fined up to $490, your license will be suspended for 30 days and once that is over and done with, your life will go on. I just found it that it is not a speeding ticket it is actually reckless driving ticket. am i still considered the same way as you explained so far?

sorry for all my silly and pointless questions!!! this is what happens when you commit something wrong with out knowing the outcomes.....shame on me
You can request that but you'll still have to enter a plea and either go to trial or pay the fine. do you mean to court ?
You can request it but whether it is granted or not is up to the judge.
got it
I don't see any requirement for any documents that have to be taken care of.
ok sounds good, thanks for the reply's appreciate in advance

How did it change from a 22349(a) to (what code section is it now?) Reckless driving?
Re: Speeding Ticket for 97 MPH on 65 MPH
the code on the ticket in top right hand corner is 23224RD (in this number does RD means reckless driving). but under section correctable Violation (40610VC) is checked as "NO" and listed as "22349(a)VC-Exceeding 65mph"

You were cited for speeding 97 in 65. Nothing even remotely close to reckless driving!

You were given the ticket at the time of the traffic stop, were you not? The yellow slip that you were asked to sign... Check the status of your case by going to your court's website. If it does not appear to be in the system, you should still appear in court on the date shown on the citation, and check with the clerk before heading to a courtroom.
