There is no binding contract with anything you have discussed with your employers.
Your job duties and pay can change with a moment's notice.
That means that the boss can tell you go here, do this, and if you refuse you likely lose your eligibility for UC regardless of whether you call it quit, laid off, or fired.

It appears you either quit to move or if a trailing spouse file as a trailing spouse and hope your state recognizes it.
