Fluidity in Job Status

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Washington

Here are the facts:
Been working at the company for 8 months.
Hired for one job, moved to another to cover employee who quit.
Discussed my future move across the country. Agreed with current boss to giving notice with access to remote contract work in October.
Find out current boss is being fired and will no longer be my boss, but will continue to work in a reduced capacity remotely.
Discuss future plans with his boss, agree to stay on as FTE until the new year, working remotely.
Now, there is discussion that I will not have employment remotely.

Question - If I do end up without employment did I quit, get laid off, or get fired? Nothing has happened at this point, but I'm just trying to figure out if I do end up with a job, if I would be elligible for unemployment while looking for a new job.

There is no binding contract with anything you have discussed with your employers.

Your job duties and pay can change with a moment's notice.

That means that the boss can tell you go here, do this, and if you refuse you likely lose your eligibility for UC regardless of whether you call it quit, laid off, or fired.

It appears you either quit to move or if a trailing spouse file as a trailing spouse and hope your state recognizes it.
