Weapons Offenses: Caught Drunk Driving With a Gun in the Vehicle

Hello everyone!
About a week ago I drove a block from my house to get McDonald's after drinking at home.
On my way home I made what the police said was an improper right turn so he turned his lights on
I was almost to my drive way so I parked my car in the drive way and he asked me how much I
Had to drink n I said 2-3drinks, he asked me to step out n did a sobriety test n I failed that.
I had a concealed weapon permit n my gun in the car, I told the officer that my weapon is in my
Car n my permit is in my wallet, he looked at my permit and the permit expired exactly 1 month
Prior to that day but I failed to update my address with the sheriff dept so I never got the notice
To renew it...

So all total I got a ticket for improper right turn, failed to yield to an emergency vehicle, duii
And unlawful possession of a firearm, when I took the bac test my alcohol level was .16,
This is first time I have ever been in any trouble with the law, always done everything by the
Book, my gun was purchase legally by me n never ever had use it or even draw it, thank God!

Since this is my very first time n will be the only time, I don't know what to expect.
I have 2 kids who depends on me for everything, I have a government job which I have had for
Over 15yrs so I'm super afraid of getting jail time n loosing everything I have worked so hard for.

I'm understand that I made the wrong decision by driving but I just don't wanna lose everything
Because of this.

I don't know if the gun charge could be drop since I did have a permit n its just that it expired
One month prior n only cuz the renewal notice went to the wrong address...

I called the court to see if I have to prearrange a court appointed lawyer n they said that I don't
Have to do that, that I go to court n at that time I ask for that n there will be lawyers there available,
I live in Oregon, does that sounds normal?

Any advice is much appreciated!
