Distributing a Safe Sex Video to Minors

yes I am 27 years old and I am gay and I currently working on a project for youtube for gays and helping gay people find support in all subjects and areas,and I recently emailed lots of youtube users a preview of my video with details and a lot of those users were underage because I find kids are the best people to try and help with issues because they seem to need help the most and all I said was some of the video subjects like safe sex and aids and hiv
and my friend said that wasn't good to send but once on here you all said you can talk about safe sex therough vbideos and online as long as you like didn't expose your gentials or anything which I did not so am I worried for nothing or is my friend worried for nothing he has me sacardedfnow that I did something wrong when all I did was sent a message of the details of the video and the video will just be me telling people to be safe and about hiv and aids nothing nasty or vulgar or explicit

In some states you might very well run into legal problems targeting minors with explicit discussions on sexual relations or how to safely engage in sex (an act which is a crime in most jurisdictions - depending on the age of the minor).

well the video hasn't been done yet and the one who is doing the helpful videos is cancelling the ones about safe sex and hiv and aids and all he did was mention in the description that that's what the vidoes would be about in some of the subject details safe sex aids and hiv and eys some was underage so idk wouldn't that be safe to say hes ok since that's all he wrote nothing else

Before he makes these available - if he chooses to - he should really speak to an attorney so he can be sure he's ok. There may be ways to distribute it safely.

If he's going to be sending out "watch my video" invitations to minors, the answer is going to depend on the content of his communication and the content of the video.

well the videos are not even done or started yet he was just releasing the subjects to the audience people or potential audience so all he said was subjects so shouldn't he be ok

I still stand by my suggestion that he consult an attorney to make SURE that whatever actions he intends to take are lawful. I suspect there are ways to make his video perfectly lawful, but mass solicitations may not be one of those means.
