Requiring Subcontractors to Work With Specific Suppliers
My question involves business law in the state of: USA

Dear american lawers, I am a student from Russia and now I am writing a recearch work, concerning antitrust law system in the USA. I would like to express my respect to your great state with the best legal system in the world. Unforchunately I faced a problem - I cant find any information concerning legal regulation of the situation, when a main buyer coordinates independent buyers (his subordinates, contractors) in the case he believes that goods prodused by the concrete supplyer have very bad quality. So he prohibits his subordinates and contractors to buy products from concrete produser. In Russua such behavior is considered to be illigal by economic courts. I will be really thankful if I get some help here about legal regulation of this problem in the USA.

    Sincerely yours,

    Student from Russia

In the US, the main contractor can certainly specify the materials or quality of materials to be used in the project contractually by his subcontractors.

If you are talking about a contractor and subcontractors, the contractor has every right to make sure that the subcontractors perform their services up to the standard he sets, including specifying where they obtain materials or parts.
