CCTV and shoplifting
my brother recently shoplifted from a local gas station mini-mart. the store is apparently equipped with CCTV surveillance and he is worried that they will track him down with video evidence. he stole a $3 bag of beef jerkey while the clerk was in the back of the store. although he believes his theft was unnoticed, he's worried that the store will try to identify him via CCTV evidence. it's been a little over two weeks since the crime; is it possible that the store didn't notice the crime or that its just taking the police a while to track him down?

Re: cctv and shoplifting
You have some kind of delusion over this or your just bored! Mini mart CCTv videos are only viewed when they "know" a crime was committd like armed robbery etc! Where they could use video for s shoplift as well they would first have to know a theft occurred and when! How many hours of tape would you want them to look for see theft? All this for a $3.00 candy bar? Get real! However on a bright note hopefully this fear will keep him from further stupidity if not I hope they throw the book at him and use video from prior theft to show he has no remorse!
