    California Tape Recording Laws
    My girlfriend meets here Ex Husband in a Mcdonalds parking lot for the exchanges of there children. In recent months he and his wife have become hostile towards her, but it is all here say because there is no proof. Can she tape record there meeting in this public parking lot with out notification. California is the state.

    California is an all-party consent case, which means you are supposed to have consent from all parties to record a conversation.

    Consider switching to a new location for exchanges, such as inside a public building where there would be witnesses. Some people use police stations, but I don't like that approach as it can be scary for the kids.
