50/50 timeshare? meaning we have split custody? In that case, yes we have orders that split custody 50%. By my calculations, mom only makes about $14-$16 per hour... She lives with her parents and they pay for eveything including our daughters clothes and food (while she is with mom). They also are funding the attorney for her too... I rent two rooms and have 3 jobs... My total income is around $30 hr combined and I'm paying off my debt for past due child support, medical billing, counceling, attorney fees, etc. etc... If you were to look at our income side by side she makes nothing to what I do. This is getting more frustrating and depressing the more I think about it

Basically your income is double hers. Even with a 50/50 timeshare (meaning you have equal time with the child), you should expect to be paying child support.

Run the numbers through a CA child support calculator.

I have no real issue in paying child support... I just want to be able to live in our own home and have our child the ability to have space of her own.

Thank you for the link, I will check it out.

    You have been very informative
