Reckless Driving Charge for Excessive Speed
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Virginia

I understand that my actions were completely irresponsible and accept full responsibility.

I am 18 years old and just got a reckless driving ticket because I was on I-66 going 80 mph in a 55 zone. I have gotten a reckless speeding ticket before when I was a minor, but it was removed from my record and I did not have to pay any fines because I took a driving class and got a reccomendation from the teacher.

Does anybody have any tips on how to get my current ticket cleared from my record and possibly my fine removed? I know it is a long shot
What can I do to prepare myself for the situation and get myself out?
How can I reduce my points?

    Thank you so much

Convince me that there's a justifiable reason to clear the ticket from your record and your fine removed. Clearly you didn't learn from the first instance.

Your teacher won't get you out of this one. Hire a traffic attorney.

80 or above is reckless driving regardless of the zone.
This is a misdemeanor. You should at least consult with a lawyer. Your previous reckless driving history will work against you. You (or the lawyer) might be able to negotiate a dismissal or lowering to careless driving possibly to complete VADIP but if you did VADIP to get out of your last ticket, you may again be disqualified.

The problem is that the GDCs around Virginia are not consistent in what they'll accept in the way of mitigation.
