Emancipation for a Soon to Be 18 Year Old Girl

My name is Elle , I reside in NYC with my grandmother. I'm 17 years old ; my birthday is August 11 , Ill be turning 18 . I'm currently employed at a $12/hr job. My life has been beyond difficult in my short amount of years of life. My rather is deported , my mother is unemployed and relys on her parents and boyfriend . I honestly take care of myself and have been since I was about 15. My mom kicked me out in February. I'm only being provided with a home to stay in. I've had several child service cases open from about the time I was 5 til i was 16. I used to get physically abused from the time I was 5 on and off til I turned 16. It stopped this year due to the fact that I left my moms house. Well I am not enrolled in school , haven't been for a couple months now. My mom signed me out. I'm considering moving in with two of my friends they're stable and I'll be paying my part of rent and pay for all of my necessities . They live in Florida. I'm considering running away out there (not the smartest thing I know) but my grandmother is the only one who knows and is supporting me. i plan from the time i leave til i turn 18 on getting stable, getting a job , and a car . That way while I'm on my feet I can become emancipated til I turn 18. Would me getting emancipated be a possibility? Why or why not ? Anything else I would need to be emancipated?

Even if you qualified for emancipation (which you don't) and had valid grounds (which you don't) your 18th birthday would happen before you even got on the court docket.

Nope. There is no statutory procedure by which you may seek emancipation through the courts in New York.

Even if there were, you would not qualify, since you are not 100% self-supporting, living completely on your own already, and making better than average grades in school.
