How to Get Parole Transfered to a County Closer to Family
My question involves criminal law for the state of: CA. My son, will be paroled from San Quentin to homeless, no money, no I.D., in Medocino County. I do not have a permanent address, and have rented in Trinity County, on and off for about 2 years. I want my son's parole to be in Humbolt County, where I stay sometimes, because there is no Social Security Office and other Offices he will need, in Trinity County. I sent a letter online, to my son, incarcerated, at San Quentin CA Prison to give to his parole agent. I have asked other family members to write as well. He's going back to prison 'cause he won't have any support, in Mendocino County. Is there anything else I can do? Please reply, if you think of anything. :confusion:Thanks

Re: What Can I Do to Help Get My Son's Parole Transfe Ed to a County Closer to Me
Generally, there are specific terms associated with the granting of parole. Some of them relate to the stability of parolee's living and financial position, to avoid them having an inducement to go out and re-offend to provide for their own well being. No one can change that for him, aside from giving him a lot of money, if his family cannot provide it.

Your son's parole officer is going to want him to have a stable, permanent address.

The receiving county is also looking for stability. The circumstances that you have depicted will not suffice for consideration.
