Probation is Over but Restitution is Still Owed
My question involves criminal law for the state of: New Jersey
i was charged with theft in Burlington county new jersey and was given 5 years probation, my restitution with fees was around $67,000.00.
i was ordered to pay $200 a month due to fiances, I am Disabled on Fixed income.
i have made my payments every month. which is $12,000.00 so i still owe $55,000.00
i was allowed to move out of state when probation started and i reported to a PO here.
my probation ended a week ago, so i am waiting on the paperwork from New Jersey, but my PO here Closed My case and said i no longer had to report.
    my questions are:
    1. what happens now? i will never be able to pay off the restitution, will they extend my probation or will the transfer it to a civil court?
    2. do i continue to make my payments to the new jersey probation department? until i get notification?
    3. will i have to go to court in new jersey to end probation? i am unable financially to make the trip.
    thanks for any help.
