Possible violation of a restraining order
I am in S.C.
Need to find out if my girlfriend violated my temporary Court order. I just found out that she had been sending e-mails to my ex in ref to her not paying child support, or other bills she owes with my ex responding back to them. The order states " A restraining order prohibiting the parties from having any harassing contact and that the only contact necessary will be to discuss issues as they pertain to the minor children." This is contained in a temporary order. Our final Court date is set for sometime January. My questions are 1 is this a violation of the order, and 2 by the two of them sending e-mails what problems could it cause, or how could it effect the final outcome in January?
Thanks in advance for your help with this!!!!!!!! Mike :wallbang:
Re: Possible violation of a restraining order
If the court believes the contact was instigated by you, or that you knew about it and didn't try to stop it, it could be a violation of the order.
