Caught Shoplfiting in Mall, Let Off with Warning

I made a really stupid mistake and took a shirt from Urban Outfitters in the mall. I beeped and then started fast walking towards the exit of the mall. A worker caught up with me and told me to "never come back to the store". I was just at the exit of the mall by then, is the reason he just gave me a warning is because I was already almost out? I was so terrified I didn't even give back the shirt, and he didn't ask for it.

I went to the bank in the mall an hour before that. Could they get my information from there? I'm terrified my mom will get a call or a cop will be at my door.

And does this mean I shouldn't go back to the mall again? Do you think he reported it and now my photo is everywhere in the mall?

I'm 16, and this event took place in Alberta, Canada.

The store probably has you on video stealing the shirt. So it's entirely possible that it's been reported and your photo has been circulated.

Interesting how criminals always seem to wet their pants about the consequences after they've been caught but never think of the consequences before they commit the crime.

I hope you realize that you could end up in a juvenile facility over this.

I am having a full blown panic attack. This is my first offense, I could be sent to juvie? I don't know what to do, should just wait and see if I get even more busted? I'm freaking out, this is leveling as the worst day of my life; almost worse than when my grandma died.

or are you just S****ing bricks that you might get arrested?

You were notified not to go back to that store, do not go back to that store or any other in the same chain you could be arrested for criminal trespassing.

Other than that you have to wait and see, i don't know if canada has civil demand letters, if they do you might get a bill in the mail for a couple hundred bucks.

Do not doubt they have you on camera and can identify you. I suggest you stay away from that mall for a few years.
