Why Don't People Believe That My House is Bugged

My question involves criminal law for the state of: AR

After 9-11 the United States entered into a new era of increased police power to wiretap, bug, and monitor citizens. The media has discussed this in depth for the past 11 years, yet when a citizen walks into a law office and says, "I think my house is bugged, I think my phones are tapped" the lawyers don't even believe him! There is something seriously wrong with this picture.

Law Enforcement HAS MADE IT CLEAR TO ME that they are COMING INTO MY HOUSE, that my HOUSE IS BUGGED, that my PHONES ARE TAPPED. How am I supposed to get help and go through the PROPER LEGAL PROCESS if lawyers won't even believe me? What the @#$% does it take to get some legal help around here? I am not a lawyer, I don't know what to do. I want to PAY A LAWYER TO HELP ME.

I am going to start naming the names of every lawyer who refused to believe me and time will tell who the crazy one really is: me, or lawyers who refused to believe me in our post 9-11 nation with increased surveillance and greater police power.

When am I going to get some real help?

How did law enforcement make it clear to you?

If the gov't is investigating you, under HS regulations, what exactly do you think you are going to do, to stop them? Obviously, unless they felt they had a reason to do so, it would be a waste of manpower and technology to do it for shits n giggles.

It's not a lawyer's job to figure out if your house is bugged. Going to a lawyer with what sounds like a paranoid delusion, which just happens to overlap perfectly with the position taken by any number of paranoid schizophrenics with whom the firm has previously dealt, "I don't have any evidence, but I know my house is bugged and I want to sue the government" will get you all of nowhere.

If you believe your house is bugged, retain a qualified security company to sweep your house for bugs and surveillance devices. If you find some, have them try to figure out who put them there. Then take your evidence to a lawyer, who will be grateful that you're actually offering evidence and thus distinguishing yourself from the mentally ill individuals making similar claims.

I don't need a lawyer to figure out if my house is bugged. I already know it is. I need him to believe me and offer me legal advice. I am ready for step 2, but the lawyers aren't ready for step 1.

This I understand. schizophrenics certainly have paranoid delusions. No one has asked me if I am schizophrenic. I am not. I am a Holocaust denier (technically I am a holocaust minimizer), I am antiZionism and antiwar. I dabbled in racism but decided it was a lost cause and that the only way for a nation to preserve a race would be to implement intrusive, freedom-destroying policies, and those I am opposed to. My criticism of Israel has resulted in something resembling denial of service attacks which I filmed and can show here if necessary. I am critical of government and police. I have accused a state trooper of abuse of power by filing a complaint on him that I am sure went into his record.

Nope. I am watched 24/7. They know where I shop, they know what I buy. My bank transactions are monitored, there is a tracker on my car, my keystrokes may even be logged. I read a book ten years ago ago about the FBI spying on the Communist Party USA and it described how when the head of the party at that time (a Gus something) decided to have his headquarters swept for bugs that the FBI slipped in and removed the bugs before the sweep took place and put them back in when it was done. By the time a qualified bug sweeper showed up at my house the police would have had enough time to remove a hundred bugs from my house, throw a party, milk a cow, sheer a sheep, get a black belt in Taekwondo, read the Bible, memorize the Quran, and learn how to Dougie. I am not throwing my money away.

Every significant conversation that takes place in my house results in something tangible taking place outside. I have a discussion about fans and the next day when driving down the road a weirdo is holding a box fan under his arm and staring right at us the whole time. I discuss my job and say I hate it, then correct myself and saying well I don't really hate it but I don't love it either. The next day I notice a coworker is wearing a shirt that says, "it's a love hate relationship" and on the back of his shirt is the company logo. I lose something important and discuss the problems that will arise if I don't find it and the next day a coworker sits down near me and talks to a fellow coworker about how he lost X (exact same thing that I lost) and the problems that will arise if he doesn't find it. Word for word the same conversation I had.

In my other topic I described how in another city 2 strangers discussed a pending criminal case, saying the person was from X town (the town I live in). One person said, "it's going to be big." THAT ALONE SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR A LAWYER TO HELP ME. I am not going to endure this crap day after day. I NEED HELP. I don't know what to do.

Surely there have been cases where charges were pending and a citizen gets a lawyer and says, "hey, charges are pending against me. What do I do?" (but I don't think charges are really pending. I think it's connected somehow to the background check that I filled out and the police picked up. That's what triggered this mess.)

Oh, let me tell you one more thing these goobers did. I arranged to visit my sister in another city. Law enforcement was listening to our conversation, of course. The next day, this antique guy wearing a uniform from ANOTHER workplace came and stood near me. He asked a guy sitting down "where was it that ____ went?" (some guy's name) Stooge number 2: "Springfield, to the Bass Pro shops or something." Antique stooge: "I hope he doesn't get lost up there, Springfield's a big place. Then he looked right at me.

Well, when I got to Springfield I find out an Amber Alert has been issued and the description of the car is very similar to my sister's vehicle (make and color).

At the time I assumed it was a real amber alert. Only now do I realize what they were doing. They thought I was going to run, presumably by taking my sister's car which I knew would not have a tracker on it. By issuing a fake amber alert it enabled the police to pull me over without waiting for me to commit a traffic violation. Nice little loop hole, cops. But I had no intentions of running and I still don't. Cops are the ABSOLUTE WORST THERE IS when it comes to jumping to conclusions. I can just imagine them high-fiving themselves saying, "the fake amber alert worked. We scared him into not fleeing!"

That's fine and dandy, but you wouldn't have a vidoe of you learning how to Dougie would ya?. That would make this post so much better!

I BELIEVE YOU!!! I am being surveilled too at this time and KNOW IT, as our local law enforcement make it known. I have turned someone in for drugs, who was unfortunately staying at my home, a friends son, and it turned out to be the largest amount X they had ever seen here!!

So they are watching me now, even though I DID THE RIGHT THING!!! They have literally pulled my 2 oldest children (I have 5 total) out of class at school to question them, something I thought they couldn't do without my consent. But seems its legal if the school counselor or principal or 'some' adult at the school says its ok. They have pulled my daughter out 5x's, my son 3 x's. MY neighbors listen to police scanners, seems strange I know, but small town with nothing better to do I guess. He calls me and tells me when he hears my address broadcasted about, yeah we'll drive by and check etc... is what he hears. I have had sheriffs cars parked RIGHT OUTSIDE my front door, or across the street. They drive by at least a dozen times a day!! Even follow me to the two different schools my children go too, one elementary the other middle school.

I have nothing to hide and when they do knock on my door I let them in!! It's very irritating, one week they 'came by to chat' 5 x's!!!! Once at 10:30pm when we were all sleeping!! Not only is it irritating it's embarrassing since many old folks enjoy listening to the police scanners in my neighborhood, so to always hear my address or see the cops at my house is a royal PITA!!!

But the best thing I can suggest is if you have nothing to hide, comply, be visible ALL THE TIME!!! Let them see they are not affecting you by watching you. They wanna make you crack, its part of their tactic. And if they are parked outside or anything wave and let them know you know they're there!! They HATE THAT!!! Thats what I did with a couple of unmarked cars parked across the street from my house, which is a small childrens park. I even attempted to go out with a cup of coffee to give him, but as he saw me coming he left!!!

I personally have NEVER broken the law, and quite the contrary, did the right thing by turning someone in that was breaking the law, and this is what I GET, for being a good citizen. IT's really not worth getting involved or turning people in, even if they are doing illegal things while rooming in your very own home. Because I'VE become the target now.

And ITS NOT ILLEGAL for them to follow you, make their presence known, sit outside your house, contact you daily by knocking on your door, or even come in and bug your house or tap your phones, cell phones too, or even enter your home for a search without a warrant. It's called a warantless search and is mostly used for intimidation, because if they find anything incriminating, it'll be hard for them to defend that sans a warrant. But it's mostly to see if they can visibly see anything so they can get a warrant for probable cause. Their tactics are based on intimidation and fear, the fear of if you are guilty you will crack eventually under the pressure and screw up. Simply don't fall for it!!! Beat them at their own game. And the only reason I know this is because in my old home town in Florida, I was friends with not only regular police, but had friends in the DEA and FBI, one FBI agent was actually a student of mine, and one that worked for secret service there in Jacksonville.

Anyway thats my best advice!!

Oh and also, if you are 'dabbling' in activities that will get you flagged, just to be a 'rebel' then you can expect to get monitored and be flagged as a potential threat. And just because charges MAY OR MAY NOT be pending is of no concern to any lawyer. The only time a lawyer would come into play is if the charges actually stick and you're arrested and formally charged. Police can investigate and surveil ANYBODY they want if they feel there's a just cause. Lawyers can't help with that, that's not their job. Its AFTER you've been charged they start to work. And then through disclosure in defending your case any and all information would be released to your lawyer, such as any wire taps etc. But nothing can be done before hand ... SORRY!! But all the lawyers you spoke to are correct, they can't do anything about it.

Gotta look at the bright side.........if anyone ever breaks into your house, the cops are already there! :D

record the cops telling you that your house is bugged. I have a hard time believing you actually experienced this though - but it says you're banned from this forum.

I am right there with ya. The other day there was a van parked outside my house for three hours with some old guy looking at a map. I couldn't do or say anything, because it's a Public street that anyone can park on, but since I have no drivers license it sure made me nervous getting in my car to go to the grocery store then he was still there when I returned a couple hours later??? Who pulls over and looks at a map for that long?
The reason I explained that situation is so you can see that we all have things happen day to day that make us a little uneasy and paranoid. When you take it to the extreme that you have and you are no longer in touch with the fact that it is "Paranoia" and you start truly believing these thought is when you have entered into a delusional realm and you need to seek help.
If you're not a Drug-Dealer, a child-Molester, a Murderer.... why would the Police have your house bugged or even care about you and you activities?
