How to Relocate With a Child if the Other Parent Objects
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: ohio
I want to move out of state with my daughter. Her biological father is on her birth certificate has a child support order but I have never been married too him. He is a sex offender on a minor and isn't allowed contact with any of his children at the moment. Can me and my husband leave state without notifying him? He has only paid child support twice and my kid is 2 yrs old. Would I get in trouble for leaving? I have the child support papers oand on the papers it states I am the residential custionian and legal custodian. What does that mean? He has only seen my kid one time. Can I move to another state without his permission and without notifying him?
Re: I Want to Move Out of State Can I Without the Fathers Permission

Re: I Want to Move Out of State Can I Without the Fathers Permission
from what I can find, Ohio requires the moving custodial parent to file an intent to relocate, including your new address, with the court. As I understand it, the court will send notification to the non-custodial parent. The non-custodial parent will them be allowed to object to the relocation if they choose to.
