It shouldn't even BE an issue.

Mom should be parenting the child - so what consequences is the child facing when he disobeys Mom's rules (ie, Get out of the car, go to Dad's, have fun, see you later)?

So, dad cannot walk over to mom's car, and without touching it, tell the child to get out of the car and come along? Dad isn't also supposed to at least attempt to parent his child? I am sorry, but I think its a cop out on the part of an ncp to expect the cp to do all the parenting in these situations, no matter what the genders are.

Is mom coming over to dad's car to say, "I'm parked over there, come ask junior to go with you"? I somehow doubt it. And if she is, there's no reason she can't walk junior over herself.

You have never dealt, very closely, with a child transfer situation with parents that can't seem to get along, have you?

It seems that she's too busy recording dad in his car while the 14yo sits in the car with her.

Totally agree that mom is the one who should be escorting the son. Dad would be off his nut to go to the car and "remove" him, especially at a cop shop.
