Titled My Car in My Daughter's Name, and She Has Taken It
My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: Florida. I bought a new car cash. I bought the car after getting money awarded for an accident I had. I titled the car in my daughters name because I owe the irs money and didn't want issues with them. The understanding was that we were to share the car. She could use it for school and whatever. I took the insurance out and placed her in my policy. Do I have legal rights to get the car back? I've been told that it'll be considered a gift and that I have no legal rights to it.
Re: Bought a Car. Had It Titled in My Daughters Name. She Took the Car and Moved Out
You have no legal right to the car. I am sure she appreciated the gift. What goes around, comes around, sometimes.
Re: Titled My Car in My Daughter's Name, and She Has Taken It
If you chose to put the car in her name and hers alone, you made it hers.

I was afraid of that. It's a grave mistake I made. Thank you
