Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio
Son was in his dorm room and Police officers knocked on his door. He was asked if he had any marijuana in the room and responded no. They asked if he had anything paraphernalia and threatened to search the room. He then admitted and retrieved a pipe and they wrote the summons for possession of drug paraphernalia. He must go to court to enter a plea and wanted to do so without an attorney. Can anyone let us know what to expect? I will be speaking to an attorney tomorrow.
Re: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Mere possession is a fourth degree mis, up to 30 days and $250 fine. The NORML site is wrong on this one it changed last fall.
