Involvement in a Rape Gang and Conspiracy
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio

This is a scenario I'm considering for a story now it's entirely fictional but written as an actual situation.

Way back when these guys I use to hang out with wanted me to pass an initiation to join their "club" the girl I was dating that is still with me she was rue-feed a party and I swear I had no idea they were doing this and when they told me to rape her. I took her into the bed room and just let her sleep it off. By some miracle she forgave me after realizing I had no idea what they were planning.

I didn't know what I was walking into that night I was so freaked out and when she came to I just got the two of us out of there and convinced her we shouldn't say anything. I mean the guy in charge is not a nice guy and he's very unstable he threatened us both well he didn't come out and say anything but he implied something might happen to us if we talked. Now they finally got busted because a victim finally spoke and I'm worried I could get charged I mean I didn't rape anyone and my knows I didn't know what they were planing we thought we put all this behind us. Am I responsible for them not getting caught sooner?

Once again this is not a real situation and entirely fictional.

You're going to find that not many people (if any) are going to respond to this.

the police, prosecutor and jury will not believe your version of the story. Expect to go to jail even with a good lawyer

It doesn't matter if they believe his story or not. He was involved in a heinous felony and is guilty even if he didn't stick his dick in the girl. He is in serious need of an attorney.

I have a seed of doubt in my head that this is, in fact, fictional.

I was not intending to suggest not getting a lawyer.

OP needs to understand lawyers are not miracle workers and should be getting his affairs in order with regards to things like apartments, recurring subscriptions etc so in a few years (if lucky) or a decade (if less lucky) he is not also facing all sorts of financial issues on top of legal trouble.

it's difficult to make parole mandated payments for sex offender counseling when your wages and bank account keep getting garnished because you racked up 10 grand+ in bills late fees and interest.

    You need a lawyer.

You had knowledge of a crime. You had to have an idea there would be future crimes and other people were at risk.

There's an Ohio story going on right now about a girl who was raled at a party by two HS football players. It's serious enough as it is, but with hte HS story and allegation of a cover up attempt, OP really needs to get himself a lawyer and pray for mercy.
