Red Light Ticket Will I Be Issued One
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Oregon

I was wondering if I would be getting a red light ticket in the mail. Here's the story and pardon the longish post:

I was driving along when I saw a warning "red light photo enforced" so I was hypervigilant. As I was entering the intersection a van was in front of me. The lights turned yellow and knowing that there's a camera in the intersection I slammed the brakes and stopped while the light was yellow before it even turned red. The reason being is that if I go through even if the light was yellow part of my car will not fully enter the intersection in time before the light turns red. A big no no. The issue is that part of my car entered the cross walk (maybe 3 feet after the first stop line to the tip of the front bumper) because I had to stop. A couple of pedestrians were able to cross the street no problem with plenty of room to spare. I never crossed the second or last stop line.

Given this do you think I might get a citation? I know I was trying to do the right thing but I can't help but worry since I'm still reeling from the fines I paid in late 2011 because of these red light cameras.

    Thanks in advance.

You were following behind a truck, entering the intersection on a green light? Leaving aside for the safety issues that can result from slamming on your brakes when the light turns amber, (See O.R.S. 811.260(4), "If a driver cannot stop in safety, the driver may drive cautiously through the intersection"), you are stating that when the light changed you stopped as quickly as you could, but your front tires were in the crosswalk and were at a full stop when the light turned red?
