Should we tell soups?
Now now guys, you have proven both sides, this is the good part of a forum, it is when you go on and on, it is deemed not ok (I am assuming here lol)! Poster, if I thought for a second there was a chance to get out of it, I would say so, but it is hard to prove a radar wrong. Please read the link provided to see if there is a way out of it (I myself have not checked the link). I do not know how old you are, and I am aware of traffic court lowering points on your insurance, or getting tickets reduced (maybe dissapear?), please check on this. I also know that if money is the issue, that if you plead guilty, and show up in court, a judge will most likely lower your fines. Good luck to you! Someone else may come about that knows more than all of us, so stay tuned for more possible answers.
Heeeeeere's Soups!!!
Firstly, you state that you did in fact get a speeding ticket! Soooooo, regardless of the time/race error the basic underlying fact of the matter is that you did get popped for speedin'......own up to the fact it was you and take care of business. This ain't rocket science for cryin' out loud.
Secondly, the cop made a mistake(s) in data entry. I reckon you've never made a data entry error in your life? And, was it nighttime or daytime? Asians and whites are a tad hard to differentiate at night.
Just keep it simple and 'face-the-music' and take care of the ticket. And maybe think about stocking up on some personal responsibility next time the opportunity arises!
The preceeding was approved by souperdave and is just MHO!
"Own up to it"?..."Face the music"? I don't think that's what it's about at all. The idea isn't to 'cleanse the soul'; the idea is to beat the rap.
If everyone wanted to "face the music", lots of lawyers would be out of a job...(and O.J wouldn't be 'teeing up' about right now.;)
If that was your point, I'm confused. I thought you were of the opinion that if he's guilty, he has an obligation to keep quiet and pay the fine. I don't think that's the case...at all!
It appears that ticket holder is trying to avoid paying a ticker he earned!
