Can I Travel from the U.S. to Canada with Misdemeanor Possession Warrant

Can I fly into and travel to Canada from the United States with an outstanding misdemeanor possession warrant from the State of Florida? I'm living in Illinois now?

What happened when you called the Canadian authorities and asked the question?
