Co-Worker Made False Claim Against Me
My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: NC

I started a new job 6 months ago. A few weeks after starting my job I began having problems with a couple of my coworkers. When trying to interact with them to accomplish simple task one of them in particular would refuse to answer any questions until a time that this person felt fit to answer them be it 20 min. later or 2 hours later. Needless to say I would have to wait to leave until they decided to answer my questions and verify certain task for the day.

I have gotten called into my bosses office because my coworker was complaining I was not following protocol when in fact my coworker was the reason I was unable to follow protocol because they would not answer my questions and verify I had completed duties.
I have gotten chairs shoved at me which when reported and the accused confronted by my supervisor, they said it was an accident. This happened more than once.
I am constantly being disrespected by these two individuals. I organized a meeting with the two of them along with another co-worker who has also been treated disrespectfully. This meeting seemed to go well and the behavior subsided for about a week then returned. I have addressed the individual personally to tell them my concerns about how they are making the work environment difficult and hostile for not only me but two other of my coworkers.

I confronted my boss for a second time to express my issues with the work environment and he told me he would speak to the individuals personally. Later that same day he returned to tell me that the individuals denied doing anything wrong and that I was misconstruing their behavior and conversations.

My boss told me not to report the issues to HR without letting him know first.

I came into work the other day and my boss told me that the main individual I had complaints about went to HR and complained I was making false accusations against them and that it would be useless for me to go talk to them now.

I have been called by HR twice and emailed once but have not yet spoken to them.

I need advice on how I should move forward. Do I get an attorney before I talk to HR? Do I talk to them so I don’t look like I’m avoiding them?

Since I did not imitate the complaint do I need to put my complaints in writing at this point?

    Please help,
    McA

The law doesn't change from site to site.
