OPT Job Options for Computer Science Majors

Hi,

I'm a computer science major and I've been on OPT for a month now. While I'm still looking for a job now, I'm wondering if there's any alternatives to stall the unemployment time.

If I volunteer, does the job still have to related to my field of study? What are some job options for a computer science major other than Software developer or web developers? I understand that those will be eventually what I do, but right now as a new college grad with no experience it's really hard to find a job right away and time is still ticking.

Any position must be in your field. If your qualifications are such that you must give away your services, you really need to be packing to go home where your US degree will be valued.
