How to Get Custody of My Son Back After Signing Over Custody to a Granpdarent

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: ohio

My name is rihanna I'm trying to figure out how to to get my son back from my mother. I wanted to start off saying that I'm not a bad mother and I've always provide for him een when I don't have custody. I gave my mother custody of my son because I was getting death treats from my son's father wanting to kill me to get him. I signed my rights over to my mom. Now she has full custody and I'm wondering how can I get him back. My son is 8 years old and he wants to live with me and everything. My mother has a heart problem and she gets state money for him but don't really use the money on him and spends it on herself. She's always asking people to buy my son medcine for cough/cold, asking people for money to get food, she barely has food in the house when I visit. She also smoke weed and acts crazy and become abuseive towards me and my son. She always blames me for my son's behavior even when he has adhd. My son keeps asking me to go home with me. I know the court won't allow a 8 year old choose. A lot of my friends and my sister says all she (my mother) wants my son's money. She never has taken him out to enjoy anything. He's always at home when she can use his money on her bowling games, going to clubs, and weed. How can I get my son back? I know I can give him the things he needs, I've spend a lot of my money buying him clothes, shoes, food or whatever he needs. My mom can't even do this for him, she says he has to b patient and deal with it. I also have seen other people and myself do more for m son then my mother does. She's always threaten to keep him away from me and threatened me tha I would never see him again. I have be young and stupid in the past but I've learned things the hard way and have grown up. How can I get my son back!?! I hate seeing my son suffer when my mom can bully him.

Seriously, if the child is in danger you contact child services. How long has he been with your Mom?

He's been with my mother for 4 years. All she cares is his money to support her habits.. I'm willing to buy my son anything he wants, my mother has his money from the government and don't buy him clothes or things he needs. What has she done with his money and spents it on herself and her car payment and everything for herself. My son gets nothing from her and she always asking me for money for my son when I'm thinking in the back of my head where is his money? She says I use it on car payment how is my son supposed to have anything he needs if all his money goes to her?

The thing is, child support is not FOR the child exactly - it's reimbursing the legal custodian for money spent raising the child.

Providing a roof of the child's head, food (I strongly doubt your child is starving), clothing.

She will know its me that called cux there is very small people who comes to her home. I'm willing to fight and get him back and at the same tim I'm afraid I lose the case and never see him again. Its actually a lose/lose situation. My son keeps asking me to take him home how am I supposed to tell him

Most of his clothes are too small for him and he has no bed of his own at my mother's house. He sleeps with my mother my mother refuse to buy a bed for him

Worse of all, my son got molested by her friend's son while she had the custody when he was almost 4 years old she never reported it when I found out I called the cops but the cops said there nothing I could do about it regarding cux I have no custody or a say in it the cops didn't do anything

Rihanna, all I can suggest right now is that you speak with a local attorney.
