J1 and Marriage
Hi
I met my fiance,(American citizen) while I was studying in the USA on a J1 visa.when I finished my studies, I left hoping to find a job back home but after 5 month of unemployment I decided to look in a third country. Meanwhile we got engaged and my fiance was still in the USA finishing his studies. we are getting married soon and he will have to move with me. It will be almost two years now that I'm out of the USA. Five months in home country and the rest in the third country. We are thinking that eventually in few years we want to move back to the USA.
home country : Lebanon
My questions:
I heard that sometimes you can spend the two years in another third country and still get the two years waved.
Will marriage help in any way with the two years home residency
After the issue of the two years is resolved. What is the timeline and the best way to proceed with getting the necessary paper to move back to USA.
Thank you...

Re: J1 and Marriage
If you want to get a waiver, seek a waiver. Nobody here can promise that you will get one. Marriage is not a basis for obtaining a waiver.
If you want to move into the U.S. after two years, and your HRR has been served out or waived, odds are you should seek a spouse visa.
